    Steve Castro

    Director of Digital Development

Before joining EGC, where did you work?

I worked in NBTY’s Digital Marketing department as Senior Web Designer for 7 years. I handled design and development on more than 20 public-facing brand websites such as Nature’s Bounty, MET-Rx, Balance Bar and more. Prior to that, I worked at TEAM Services with fellow EGC-er Jim McCune for 8 years. I designed print, web and interactive campaigns for WWE, UFC, Playboy and Universal Studios, while also serving as Production Manager for the Creative department.

What exactly do you "do" at EGC?

I oversee all digital and web-related projects. My responsibilities include budgets, timeline estimates and overall site-planning. I also manage our team of developers, project managers and partners.

    Yankees or Mets?

I don't watch much baseball these days, but I'm still loyal to the Mets. I also enjoy taking my family out to see our local team – The Long Island Ducks. I'm more of an NBA fan now, though. I'm always with my Knicks, through thick and thin.

Any partners, spouses or pets you want to mention?

I met my wife Jen in college, and we've been married since 2003. We have a daughter Lily, and son Logan. We also have a flock of hens, who like to hang out in our large backyard vegetable garden.

What do you do for fun?

I like to take my family to the amazing parks and beaches here on Long Island. We're also huge Disney fans and participated in runDisney 5k and kids' races during our most recent visit to Walt Disney World.

Do your parents really understand what you do for a living?

I think that they only know I sit in front of a computer screen all day long, not using my college degree in Illustration. (Whoops.)
